‘Sam Bright’ รองประธานและผู้จัดการทั่วไปของ Google Play กล่าวถึงความประทับใจในการรับตำแหน่งของเขา “ผมได้เห็นวิธีการต่างๆ ที่ Play(เป็นคำเรียกชื่อบริษัท) สร้างต่อผู้ใช้งานทั่วโลก การค้นพบแอปพลิเคชันมาแรงใหม่ๆ หรือการเติมเต็มความฝันให้กับนักพัฒนา ล้วนเป็นสิ่งที่ทำให้ผมดีใจกับการทำงานในตำแหน่งนี้”
ด้วยความประทบใจในครั้งนี้ Bright จึงอยากจะตอบแทยความสำเร็จของ Play และผู้ใช้บริการด้วยรางวัล ‘Best of 2023’ ซึ่งเป็นรางวัลที่จะมอบให้กับแอปพลิเคชันที่ดีที่สุดในแต่ละหมวดหมู่ของปี 2023 โดยจะรวมทั้งแอปพลิเคชัน เกม และหนังสือ เพื่อสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงแนวโน้มของปีนี้ว่ากระแสการบริโภคของผู้ใช้บริการมีลักษณะเช่นใด มันจะเป็นข้อมูลที่ช่วยเหลือชุมชนของ Play ในอนาคตได้
